When you check your fitblr dash after 10,000 years of absence and a bunch of the fitspo tumblrs you used to follow have inexplicably morphed into tumblrs dedicated to boy bands.

Always reblog. Thanks to whoever compiled this list!

Any exercise is good exercise.
I don’t care if you do yoga, ride a bike, run, lift weights, do crossfit, rollerblade, dance, pole, play a sport, do HIIT, jump rope, box, do martial arts, mountain climb…
Any of it, all of it. It doesn’t matter. There is SO MUCH out there to choose from. Find something that YOU LOVE TO DO and go do it.
So like two days ago I went horsebackriding for like an hour and a half (y’all I never ride horses because they, as a rule, freak me out. But I was groggy from a night of drinking and LOTR-watching and next thing I knew, bam, I’m on a horse!) Anyway I figured my butt would be a little sore from the constant trotting but hey, I wasn’t the one exercising, that was the horse’s job, right?
I am still sore omg. Like, my whole body. Yesterday when I woke up I could barely move. So I guess it was really good exercise? And apparently works one big muscle found all along the body that I like to call the ‘Terror Muscle’.
I kind of want to do it again.
This article more or less mirrors my thoughts on Fat Acceptance.
Yesterday I went shopping with a friend and I bought a pair of knit shorts (they were like five bucks, I couldn’t not. I’ll wear them over tights because I live in southern California and laugh at the concept of winter.)
Anyway my (smaller-than-me) friend thought they were cute but said she wanted to lose more weight before she bought shorts. This got me thinking ‘Oh, shit, she’s right, I should probably lose more weight and do a bunch more jogging before I wear these in public.’ then I came home and read this article and somehow it made me feel better. So, I’m wearing the shorts, as-is, and the public can just Deal with it.
Insalata Capresse. Recipe!!
Oh, lordy, this looks good. Can’t wait till I can eat this sort of thing :3
Definitely going to put together a thing of healthy/easy recipes for when I’m back on my own in LA. Subway can get expensive (fucking love subway bro, don’t get me wrong.)
Also this picture includes asparagus and that recipe, not so much? Whatever I’ll make it up as I go along.
Hey! Tell me all your thoughts about this new ad campaign in Georgia about child obesity…do you think it will get the attention from parents that it is aiming for? Or do you think it could make overweight children feel worse about themselves if they see it?
I’m seriously SO passionate about childhood obesity- it breaks my heart to see my little brother 75 lbs overweight but even I think this is kind of not okay. It’s good for the parents because it will scare them, but any overweight child needs support and positive enforcement, children don’t do so well with scare tactics
What sick, soulless son of a bitch thought this ad campaign would be a good idea? This is very much not okay. Like fat kids don’t already get bullied enough? Nope, let’s attach EVEN MORE STIGMA to being fat. Because if they hate themselves enough, they’ll lose weight, right? Wow. This might work to open parents’ eyes, but it’s not worth the way it’s going to make those overweight kids feel about themselves. And if the goal is to get parents concerned (which it should be, kids aren’t the ones who determine their poor dietary habits, parents are responsible), why not make ads GEARED TOWARD PARENTS instead of shaming these kids?
THIS SHIT AIN’T COOL, YO.
Seriously, apart from the whole ‘wow it’s fucked up to fat-shame kids when their parents are really to blame’ I have a big problem with the poster with the girl on it. There’s no mention of ‘little boys’ on the other one, no, just ‘fat prevention’. Non-gender-specific fat prevention. Way to put pressure on girls to be ‘little’. Not ‘healthy’, but ‘little’. And you can’t even justify it by saying ‘little’ here means stature rather than weight because clearly, that’s not what they meant. Girls see this shit and think ‘Oh no I’m not tiny, I must not be feminine, I must not be girly enough’ and fuck all of that.
I hope whoever designed this shit steps on a lego.
